Did You Pack Your Case Yourself Sir?

It’s only a few short weeks until I am in Berlin, my adopted second city. The nearing vacation has also made me think about my future plans for travel. See, I never really thought of foreign climes as a place to go. Holidays were not even on my radar.

Since then I have visited Germany several times, been to France and America.

I want to revisit America at some point, assuming I can sweet talk the authorities into giving me an visa! If id o make it over, then I would love to visit the Deep South and maybe New York.

So what other countries are getting their stamps in my passport, with any luck? Well I’ll definitely visit Israel at some point. In fact, there’s a free or at the very least heavily subsidises study trip in the next 2 years or so. Interestingly, I am entitled to dual U.K/Israeli citizenship and could maybe use that as a backdoor to visit America if I felt devious!

Aside from that I would love to visit Italy to take in fine food, fine wine and fine women. I may also take in some calcio as well! I would love to visit Jamaica and I have family and friends there so that makes that a cheap vacation. I don’t fancy Australia, where my mum is at the moment, nor do I fancy the far east.

I would like to visit Serbia, Poland, Austria and maybe Denmark. I would like to tell you it was for high culture but it’s not, it’s for football.

I would also love, absolutely love to visit India and particular the Punjab region with Amritsar drawing me in. The reason for that is that, even as a Jew, I am utterly entranced by the Sikh faith and way of life.

Sadly though, I think most of these trips will have to wait until my numbers come up on the Lotto!
